San Francisco Forum: Flint water crisis - This is what austerity looks like
February 05, 2016 at 7:00pm - 9pm
Protests are growing in Flint, Michigan, over the state’s cover-up of the ongoing water contamination crisis. Protestors are demanding the arrest of Governor Rick Snyder for allowing an unelected emergency manager he appointed to switch the city’s water source to the long-polluted Flint River to save money. The people of Michigan cannot count on their elected officials. Only by uniting the many of Michigan against the few bankers and ruling politicians—can the tide be turned and can the people be empowered to lift themselves out of poverty and oppression.
Born and raised in Flint, Roger Scott will join our meeting via Skype to report on the impact of this crisis on the working class.
