Stand with us in support of Black and Brown communities targeted by police and against this ongoing murder of the people! We will be memorializing everyone murdered between now and the rally here. We must remember their names! No more bodies bleeding on the street!
On July 5, 2016, Alton Sterling was murdered by Baton Rouge Police as he stood unarmed in front of a local store. Alton was the 114th Black man to be killed by US police in 2016.
On the same day, Pedro Erick Villanuevawas murdered after undercover officers in street clothing claimed they were trying to pull him over in an unmarked car, before opening fire on Pedro's truck.
The next day, Philando Castile was pulled over for a busted tail light. He informed the officer he had a firearm, and a license for it, before telling him he was going to reach for his wallet. When he did, he was shot by the officer.
