Socialism is being talked about everywhere: in the media, on the campaign trail, in schools, neighborhoods and workplaces. But what exactly is socialism? Does it mean more government programs, like in some European countries, or does it promise much more? How will socialism uproot white supremacy and other forms of oppression that are not exclusively economic? How do socialists fight to put their ideas into practice?
Join the Party for Socialism and Liberation for a series of interactive classes on socialism and the struggles socialists are a part of. This class will focus on the promise of socialism--what socialism has done and can do for oppressed people--and how the struggle for socialism relates to the Black liberation struggle in the U.S.
Future classes include:
- Imperialism and the occupation of Palestine
- Revolutionary history in the United States
- Elections: Democracy for who?
