Philly: Kensington Unity Day
The weather's getting colder, and the volunteers at the Philadelphia Liberation Center want to make sure everyone in the community has what they need to be warm and comfortable. Stop by on Kensington Unity Day to get free kid's coats, winter clothes, food, and other supplies for yourself, your family and friends.
It's an outrage that people in Kensington have to struggle to survive while the rich and powerful never worry about a thing in their lives. To end this injustice, we need unity! And we can build this unity by making sure everyone in the neighborhood -- especially the kids -- have the basic necessities.
Interested in donating? Here's what we need (all items preferably kid's sizes, but anything is welcome) --
Coats
Sweaters
Boots
Hats and gloves
Scarves
Blankets
You can drop off items at the Philadelphia Liberation Center at 2226 N. Front St in Kensington any Saturday between 3pm and 5pm or Sunday between 10am and 4pm; or any time at all at 4517 Springfield Ave in West Philly -- just leave it on the porch.
We're also happy to pick up large donations! Please email us at [email protected] or call us at (267) 281-3859.
