After millions inaugurate the resistance against Trump, which way forward for the movement in the U.S.?
Join a public forum hosted by the Party for Socialism and Liberation in a panel and discussion on the recent January 20th inaugural protest. Across the country, people are asking the question, where do we go from here? Join us as we look to what the future of the resistance movement will be against racism, sexism, xenophobia, LGBTQ bigotry, and all that Trump and his administration represents. This event will be a panel discussion with the organizers of the inaugural protest and we will engage in political and practical discussion about the future of the movement in the U.S.
PSL organizers will explain why the movement against Trump is weakened, not strengthened, by the Democratic Party's propaganda campaign about supposed "Russia connections." This McCarthyite rhetoric is false and dangerous, feeding the military-industrial complex, while distracting poor and working people from their real enemies, who are not thousands of miles away, but right here in Washington and on Wall Street.
Yesterday the world watched as millions of poor and working people mobilized across the USA to protest Trump's inauguration. The question is now how can we grow the resistance into a powerful movement for revolutionary change? Bring your questions, thoughts ,and reflections of January 20th and the coming period of resistance, as we will collectively discuss and organize for the way forward.
See you there!
