Despite the constant slander on TV, in classrooms and in textbooks, socialism is growing in popularity in the United States. According to recent opinion polls, 36 percent of people under the age of 30 view socialism favorably, compared to 31 percent who have an unfavorable view.
A form of socialism is becoming increasingly "mainstream" in the United States, as exemplified by Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign. This shows more people are ready to learn about the politics of the socialist movement and its long history in the United States.
