New Haven Trans Day of Remembrance: Rally & Gathering
New Haven Trans Day of Remembrance
-Rally at Elm St. courthouse (Church & Elm) @ 5:30
-March @ 6:15 to New Haven Pride Center (84 Orange St) for community gathering, food & resource exchange
Join together to remember lives lost and celebrate trans resilience in New Haven. Trans Day of Remembrance is observed annually as a day to mourn the loss of the beautiful trans lives stolen from us too soon. The TDoR rally is an opportunity to grieve, speak out and come together to defend our community. Bring your stories and your loved ones, hear some great speakers and share your own words.
After the rally, we will march to the New Haven Pride Center to continue our event indoors. We will be serving pizza, providing information on trans resources in Connecticut, making art together, doing a clothing swap and much more!
If you are interested in helping making signs for this event or bringing clothes to donate for the swap, check out this event earlier in the week: https://www.facebook.com/events/188076535084564/
