Long Island - The People's Vigil: Confronting the Opioid Epidemic

Come together to honor all of the lives lost to the heroin epidemic. 66,000 Americans overdosed and died from opioid overdoses in 2017. Last year, addiction caused more American deaths than the 12-year U.S. War in Vietnam. Many of us also lost our family members to police brutality and street violence. Join us for a vigil to honor their lives. Bring a picture or share a memory of your loved one. You are not alone. Join the People's Congress of Resistance, Redneck Revolt, the PSL and others to mourn together, remember and overcome this epidemic that is tearing our families apart.
