LA: The First Days of Trump feat. Eyewitness DC
Feat. Eyewitness D.C.
Trump's first speech, recent statements, budget proposals, and first executive actions are a program of Wall Street looting of public institutions, blatant disregard for the environment, unconstitutional suppression of media, and disgusting amplification of racist, sexist, and bigoted attacks.
But before ever reaching the White House Trump was faced down by tens of thousands of protesters on the Inaugural Parade route and thousands more across D.C. Within hours of assuming office he was faced by millions of protesters in every city in the U.S. and hundreds of cities around the world. Trump is entering office with the worse approal rating of any president in history and possibly ranks as one of the most hated political leaders of all time.
In spite of this unprecedented outpouring of dissent the Trump administration and Congress have embarked on a series of measures as though they have a mandate. Just a week before Trump assumed office, in the dark of night, the cowards in Congress stripped 30 million people of healthcare while eliminating protections for pre-existing conditions and other elements of Obamacare. This is a death sentence for possibly tens of thousands of people. He has taken executive action to move DAPL forward, began working toward further colonization of Palestine, and more.
