Join Liberation School, a project of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, for a two-part study series on the Cuban and Venezuelan revolutions this January.
As Cuba continues to move toward normalized relations with the U.S. and Venezuela pushes forward with its Bolivarian process despite numerous attacks on its sovereignty it becomes more important for progressive and revolutionary-minded people in the U.S. to become familiar with the struggles of these countries. For this reason we will host two classes on the legacy of Cuba and Venezuela and the current challenges they face.
Class Schedule:
Jan. 6 - Cuba's decades of struggle & internationalism
Jan. 20 - The Bolivarian Revolution and U.S. imperialism
Each class will provide a brief overview of the history of these countries and an analysis of important questions for progressive and revolutionaries to discuss, including:
*A socialist analysis of Cuba's economic reforms
*What does normalized relations with the U.S. mean for Cuba?
*What strengths and contradictions have been associated with the Bolivarian Process?
*ALBA, Latin America, and U.S. imperialism
