Chicago - A Turning Point in the Fight against Trump

Trump was dealt a major blow this week as thousands of Chicagoans infiltrated and militantly shut down a Trump rally. Trump was so frightened by the broad unity forged by Black, Latino, Muslim, and anti-racists of all walks of life that he canceled his next two meetings as well.

The event has triggered a backlash from the media and liberal establishment who have outrageously defined the actions of anti-fascist protesters as violent, riotous, and the denial of Trump's right to free speech. But what Chicago has taught working and poor people across the country who oppose Trump's plans, supporters, and rhetoric is that when the people mobilize themselves in united, independent action they can stop the onslaught of white supremacy. We will hear an important analysis of where this reactionary social trend came from and how we can repeat Chicago's victory all across the nation.

Rallies for Killer Cop Peter Liang Attempt to Turn Racism on its Head

After the conviction of killer cop Peter Liang, who murdered Black teenager Akai Gurley in New York City, a series of rallies swept major cities across the country organized by the most reactionary forces in the Chinese community to claim that Liang was a victim of the racist system.

This political line is intentionally obscuring the concept of racism to achieve an essentially right-wing aim of securing the lightest possible sentence for a racist murderer. Come and hear about the broad multinational unity achieved in the fight to put Peter Liang in prison and the role of all oppressed people in the battle to end police brutality through spreading solidarity.
