Join the Party for Socialism and Liberation for a public forum discussing the continued resistance to imperialism on the part of the Cuban and Irish people.

The recent visit of Obama to Cuba highlighted both a thawing of relations and continued tension. In the days leading up to and following the visit some commentators have painted the changing relationship as an indication that socialism is coming to an end in Cuba. This attitude however is not shared by the leaders or the people of Cuban society who view the U.S. as maintaining its hostile stance toward Cuba, which is made most clear by the continued, strangling economic blockade, Obama's misleading commentary on "political prisoners", and more. Join us as we discuss the way forward for Cuban socialism.

Jubilee Shine of Roofers Local 36 traveled to Ireland as a labor delegate for the 100 year commemoration of the heroic Easter Rising of 1916. The revolutionary struggle of 1916, lead by socialists, was the start of a fiery century of armed resistance by the Irish people to free themselves of British rule. A century later the Irish people continue their struggle for independence against the financial domination of European Banks who have imposed brutal austerity measures against the people of Ireland. Join us for an eyewitness account of this ongoing struggle.
