DC Socialism Study Group - Korean War & Prospects for Peace
Since the 1953 armistice that put an end to combat in the Korean War and established the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), the two nations have never been closer to a peace treaty than now. This Friday, Kim Jong-Un and Moon Jae-in will be meeting in a historic development, and have confirmed that there is a possibility of drafting a peace treaty. This week we'll be talking a bit about the history of the Korean War and why this development is so important.
